THESE FLOODED WILLOW TREES WERE LOADED WITH CRAPPIE!! CRAPPIE FISHING 2024!!
In this video, I am crappie fishing flooded willow trees for crappie. We are crappie fishing below the Wright Patman dam spillway. The water is UP and flowing so that means these crappie will be out of the current as much as possible. Crappie do not like to fight current, so they find structure out of the current so it is easier for them to feed on bait fish. We are crappie fishing with live minnows under a slip cork, this allows you to keep your bait at a certain depth, once you have determined what depth these crappie are at, its game over! We managed 18 keeper crappie and a ton of throw backs, we even some put some slab crappie in the boat. I hope you enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching! God Bless!

Great video! How due you kept your bobber stop ftom hanging up when casting out?
It must be trimmed correctly. I have had alot of feed back telling me people have this issue. I usually don’t. Mine might get caught 1 out of 50 cast.

Nice video! What type of slip bobber are you using? I am frustrated with mine hanging up in my reel when casting.
I am using a Comal slip cork. 1.5 inch. Are you using the black bead for a bobber stop or the string?
@903fishing I have started tying my own with the 20lb fly line backing. It keeps a tight hold on the line better than the tube string. I also tried the smallest black bead bobber, and it still gets hung up at times. I never see you hanging up when you are casting. Just trying to improve my casting with this type of fishing. Any suggestions you have would be helpful!
